The Made In USA 998 "Core Grey" stays true to the timeless design of the original 1993 model for the brand's annual Grey Day release event. The classic silhouette is dressed in grey pigskin suede on top of a tonal grey mesh upper with cornflower leather accents. It features a silver leather 'N' logo on the side, white laces and grey lining, blue plastic accents on the collar and a grey TPU heel counter. The 998 was the first model to have ABZORB technology in the midsole for increased shock absorption, with a blue and grey Ndurance rubber outsole capping it off. Silver "998 New Balance Made in the USA" embroidery on the tongue and NB on the heels finish off the Grey Day classic.
