White Mountaineering applies their outdoor tech aesthetic to one of Saucony's turn-of-the-century runners on their first collaboration together: the White Mountaineering x Saucony Grid Web. The construction of the shoe remains largely unchanged from its 2000 debut and re-release this year, but the innovative Japanese label makes its mark with the multi-color gradient TPU cage that overlays the grey air mesh upper and matching angled stripes on the leather toe and heel panels. A plush neoprene tongue and collar cradle the foot, while Saucony branding on the tongue, lace cover, insole and heel, and White Mountaineering branding on the rear quarter fill in the details up top. Angled stripes extend down to the EVA midsole that holds the eponymous GRID cushioning, and a multi-color rubber outsole completes the design.
