Nike's latest entry into the Air Max 97 line draws inspiration from a classic ACG silhouette from the '90s on the Air Max 97 "ACG Terra". Adopting the color palette of the ACG Terra, the classic wavy lines of the upper, inspired by Japanese bullet trains, are dressed in black leather and mesh with 3M reflective accents. The rest of the upper is built from concord purple and orange suede with a red embroidered swoosh on the black mesh side panel. Orange tongue patches, Air Max branded heel tabs and 3M reflected speckled laces fill in the details up top, while a black speckled midsole with a clear full length Max Air unit and a black rubber outsole completes the picture.
