The adidas Stan Smith is one of the Three Stripes' most iconic silhouettes and one of the most classic tennis shoes of all time. This new redesign comes as part of adidas' commitment to use only recycled polyester by 2024 fashioning the upper from synthetic leather and Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials. Although the silhouette is now more sustainable it still exhibits its classic style with perforated 3-Stripes, gold Stan Smith branding stamped on the side, leather lining, embossed trefoil branded heel tab and the iconic green Stan Smith portrait logo on the tongue. An Ortholite sockliner has been added for extra comfort, while a white low profile cupsole made from rubber waste.
