Saucony is the current king of the '90s retro sneaker scene, bringing back seemingly every runner they released during the Clinton years. The latest addition to the retro roster is the GRID 8000 CL. First released in 1991, the GRID 8000 was yet another model to utilize Saucony's revolutionary GRID System that was designed to simultaneously absorb shock and control mediolateral motion. A key component of this system is the G.R.I.D. Cassette located in the heel of the midsole that includes blended composite Hytrel filaments molded in an interlocking configuration that is designed to reduce shock and enhancing stability.
Features include an upper that combines Wolverine Silkee Suede and synthetic mesh that are rendered in multiple bold colors, and a "marshmallowy" soft EVA sole which contains the famous GRID system.
