To commemorate their 50th anniversary this year, Timberland has tapped six visionary creators to reimagine the brand's legacy and chart a course for the future with their Future73 project. Brooklyn-based contemporary artist, Nina Chanel Abney, best known for capturing the frenetic pace of contemporary culture through her bold and distinctive style, puts her stamp on some of Timberland's most iconic silhouettes like the Premium Six Inch Boot. Abney transformed the brand's signature style by swapping out the standard sole with a custom white Vibram ripple sole and adding three different suede overlays with embossed scrambled Timberland letters wrapped around the smooth, brown, full-grain leather uppers.
