New Balance injects the DNA of their signature 99X series into a brand new model, the 9060, that marries an early aughts aesthetic with modern technology. This "Driftwood" 9060 constructs its upper from driftwood layered mesh, sea salt leather, brown nubuck and smoke pink pigskin suede in a retro-futuristic Y2K aesthetic. Branding appears courtesy of 991-inspired tongue tag, white and pink N on the lateral side and embroidered white line N on the medial side. A translucent white heel counter sits just above the sculpted dual-density midsole featuring ABZORB and SBS cushioning. Finally the split pod outsole features a diamond pattern inspired by the 860 to finish off the heritage influence.
