New Balance uses the DNA of their signature 99X series for the new hybrid 9060, that marries an early aughts aesthetic with modern technology. This "Washed Burgundy" 9060 constructs its upper from burgundy and cream layered mesh, grey leather and burgundy pigskin suede in a retro-futuristic Y2K aesthetic. Branding appears courtesy of 991-inspired tongue tag, cream N on the lateral side and embroidered cream line N on the medial side. A translucentheel counter sits just above the sculpted dual-density midsole featuring ABZORB and SBS cushioning. Finally the split pod outsole features a diamond pattern inspired by the 860 to finish off the heritage influence.
