New Balance's latest heritage-inspired silhouette, the XC-72, is inspired by '70s-era concept cars and modern comfort, and designed within New Balance's Green Leaf standard that includes over 50% recycled content on the mesh and suede upper and at least 5% recycled content in the sole unit. The shoe features a navy mesh upper overlaid with navy suede panels and a gold suede 'N' on the side, an exposed foam tongue and white stripe on the toe. White laces and distressed grey heel clip, and black branding fill in the details up top, while a white EVA midsole and dual-tread details on the distressed black rubber split outsole that creep up over the side of the front quarter finish off the design.
