New Balance's latest heritage-inspired silhouette, the XC-72, is inspired by '70s-era concept cars and modern comfort, and designed within New Balance's Green Leaf standard that includes over 50% recycled content on the mesh and suede upper and at least 5% recycled content in the sole unit. The shoe features a grey mesh upper overlaid with cream and grey suede panels and an orange suede 'N' on the side, an exposed foam creamsicle tongue and orange green stripe on the toe. Grey laces and cream heel clip, and black branding fill in the details up top, while a pink EVA midsole and dual-tread details on the distressed beige rubber split outsole that creep up over the side of the front quarter finish off the design.
