New York-based designer Sandy Liang is teaming up with Vans again for a special capsule celebrating everyone's favorite undersea pineapple-dwelling cartoon character and his friends that includes the Sandy Liang x SpongeBob x Vans Sk8-Hi 38 DX "Patchwork". Liang channels her childhood love of the show into the design of this Sk8-Hi 38 DX, covering the upper in a patchwork of prints featuring the blue floral clouds famous from the show's opening along with other blue-based heritage prints. Black suede hits the toe, heel, eyestay and tongue with a black leather side stripe and contrast stitching. An embroidered SpongeBob appears on the right heel, while a white tongue tag, white cupsole and signature gum waffle outsole completes the project.
