There is perhaps no player in the history of professional sports who has had more iconic poster than Michael Jordan. From the iconic shot of MJ dunking over the Chicago skyline in "Black Toe" 1's to his outstretched arms on the black and white "Wings" poster, and about a million other classics, there is no shortage of primo Jordan wall art. Jordan Brand has decided to celebrate this plethora of picture art with the "Poster Collection", a pack consisting of an Air Jordan 2 and an Air Jordan 12 inspired by famous Michael Jordan Nike posters.
First up from the "Poster Collection" is the Air Jordan XII Retro "The Master", which drops this Saturday, February 27. The 12 will be seeing plenty of action this year, in honor of the silhouette's 20th anniversary. The version shown here was inspired by the 1996 "The Master" poster that featured the "Taxi" 12's, and this new release basically inverts that classic colorway. The shoe is primarily black, with the premium tumbled leather upper carrying white branding and highlights and gold upper eyelets, echoing the coloring of the famous poster.
This highly anticipated style will be available in-store only at our 1106 Chestnut St. location in Philadelphia, PA.
