Nike honors Rasheed Wallace's gritty performance against the Lakers in Game 4 of the 2004 NBA Finals with the Air Force 1 High Retro C16 QS "Rude Awakening". Embodying the grit and toughness of his hometown of Philadelphia, Wallace responded to a cheap elbow in his ribs with a 26 point, 13 rebound performance that turned the tide of the series, culminating in the 2004 NBA Championship for the Detroit Pistons.
Releasing as part of Nike's "Art Of A Champion" pack, the "Rude Awakening" covers 'Sheed's trademark Air Force 1 High silhouette in a clean and simple combo of white patent leather with royal blue accents. The shoe is outfitted with special touches like a silhouette of Wallace shooting a fadeaway embroidered on the heel, gold lace ID tags inscribed with "2004", NBA Finals text on the insoles and a "16" logo on the inside of the tongue - representing the number of wins it takes to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy. Speaking of the trophy, it is included as a metallic gold hang tag, and two sets of ankle straps; a blue one embroidered with 'Sheed's number 30, and a white one featuring his trademark saying, "Ball Don't Lie" finishes off the design.
The Air Force One High Retro CT16 QS "Rude Awakening" will be available in-store and online Thursday, April 26th @10:00am.
