We here at Lapstone & Hammer have two great loves in our lives: fine craftsmanship and helping people. Therefore we will be giving away one pair of finely crafted Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Breds" to help out our friend, Nick Engvall. Nick has been a well-known and respected member of the sneaker community for decades. Most notably, Nick's contributions to online sneaker media have helped to shape the space where so many of us share and enjoy our common hobby. From shaping the early days of Complex Sneakers, to helping to establish the digital media arm of a major nation-wide retailer, to building Sneaker History, to his new home at Stock X - if you consider yourself part of an online sneaker community, there is no way that Nick's work hasn't reached you.
Now we have the opportunity to band together and act as a community. Nick and his family need our help. In a touching piece published to his personal blog (you can read it here) Nick explains that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer and that she will need an expensive surgery. He goes on to explain she does not have insurance due to having suffered with Lupus and other preexisting conditions that have prevented her from being insured. In conclusion he has asked for our help.
