Over 30 years ago Nike changed sneaker design forever with the birth of Air Max, and now they're pushing the limits of that technology even further with the new Air Max 720 "Northern Lights Night". The new silhouette delivers more air underfoot than ever before, with a 360° visible Air unit that is 6mm taller than any before it. The design essentially builds upon the Air Max 270 heel unit shape by stretching it the length of the shoe.
The "Northern Lights" theme is realized in the iridescent finish on the wavy purple mesh upper and shimmering mudguard that evokes the atmospheric phenomenon known as Aurora Borealis. Matching metallic overlays outline black mesh accents on the side, heel and tongue, as well as providing a sort of metallic toe cap. Light branding finishes off the details in the form of small swooshes on the mudguard, toe and pull tab, along with an Air Max tongue tag and 720 on the heel.
The Air Max 720 "Northern Lights Night" will release Friday, February 1st at 10:00am both in-store and online.
