Ya boy Glim is back again with a new apparel collection, entitled “Door to Nowhere”, debuting at a special pop-up event at Lapstone & Hammer this Saturday, 3/2, from 7-10pm. Following up on his "Butter Faces" capsule from last summer, the musician continues to explore the intermingling of the mystical and physical worlds filtered through Glim's twisted take on reality. The pop-up event will is 21+, and will feature an open bar and a DJ set from @6soup6. The collection will be available to purchase at 10:00am in-store on Saturday.
Glim(@glim420), aka longtime Lapstone team member Trenton Calloway, steps through the "Door to Nowhere" to give us a closer look into the Glimmerverse: where the spirit world, the countryside, and the city merge to create a new space where every walk of life is welcome and magic is not only possible, but practiced.
For this new chapter in Glim's story, Trenton maintains the primarily mystical themes that have been a constant throughout his previous collections while adding elements that spring from his own upbringing in a tiny town in central PA (think tractors and trailer parks). Items like the Hard Labor Flannel, inspired by his grandfather, who has been a tractor trailer driver for over 50 years, or the Brush Monster Mask, inspired by his father's hunting clothing, pay homage to Glim’s rural, working-class roots.
Glim's more magical side shines through in pieces like the Merlin Sweatsuit that features a large purple graphic of an elder wizard performing a miracle on a woman, and the Invader Glim Long-sleeve shirt which displays a large yeti mask on the front, depicted with the inside facing the viewer as if to provide a window into the wearer,
and a wormhole floating above a group of grazing sheep (a recurring symbol in the Glimmerverse) on the back.
The collection is rounded out with the Avalanche Pants, Glim’s first cut-and-sew piece. The brown nylon cargo pants are lined with a navy blue mesh and feature an adjustable zipper at the bottom to allow either flared or straight leg styling, and may be removed altogether using a zipper below the knee to wear as shorts.

The Glim "Door to Nowhere" collection will be available in-store at Lapstone & Hammer on Saturday, March 2nd @ 10:00am, with an opening event to follow that night at the shop from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. The event features an open bar and a DJ set from Soup, must be 21+ to enter. Any remaining pieces from the collection will be available online on Monday, March 4th.
