Lapstone's latest project, Indigo Stonewash, exudes springtime energy by celebrating the earth's most famous and widespread source of dye: the indigo plant.
Indigofera tinctoria, known as "true indigo," has been used as a base for dyes and paints for thousands of years. While synthetic dyes are now the industry standard, we honor the ancient method for this capsule by hand dipping Made in the USA, 100% cotton, brushback French terry hoodies and oversized pants in all natural indigo dye. The clothes were then stonewashed to achieve the unique texture, finish and soft hand feel to go along with a quintessentially spring tone.
The capsule continues its homage to the natural Indigo plant with our logo interpretation. The Lapstone wordmark, printed in cream across the chest of the hoodie and down the leg of the pant, was designed and configured using the Indigofera leaves as inspiration.
