Lapstone & Hammer is continuing to build upon our partnership with the KB Foundation by providing a sponsorship for two kids from KB's program to attend this week’s Jr. 76ers Basketball Camp.
The Jr. 76ers Basketball Camp is the official youth basketball camp of the Philadelphia 76ers, lead by experienced basketball coaches from @sixerscamps coaching staff for players aged 6-14. Each week of camp is designed to build a strong foundation for the game, developing skills in shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, rebounding and teamwork in a fun and positive learning environment.
Additionally players will participate in the "Spirit of '76" character development program. Special guest speakers may include former and current 76er players, culminating in an impactful and memorable week that leaves a lasting imprint on all kids involved in the program.
The KB Foundation is a mentorship organization founded by Kirk Berry with a mission to build the development and social competencies of adolescent youth in the Philadelphia area through education, recreational, and hands-on learning experiences. Their Leadership Education Abroad Program (L.E.A.P.) provides the opportunity for rising ninth-grade students from underserved communities to visit the continent of Africa and have a full transformative international experience. Their mentoring model is based on one principle: “exposure is life”.
