Jimmy Gorecki - Philly skateboard royalty, sweatpants impresario and longtime Lapstone homie - never misses an opportunity to show love to his hometown, but his latest project may be even closer to his heart than ever before. The JSP x Boathouse x Temple University "Skateboard Owls" is an homage to Jimmy's college days, throwing it back to breaking-in skate spots across Cecil B. and North Broad during his time on the Temple campus. This 5 piece collection dropping on Thursday 4/4 both in-store and online is a combination of the high quality manufacturing focus presented by Boathouse at their North Philly production facility, and Standard Issue's French terry and fleece garments built at their Vernon, California facility.
This capsule offering between Boathouse and JSP authentically pays homage to Gorecki's devotion to Temple's campus and the skate culture he helped build there. This "made in Philadelphia" partnership is something every graduate from Temple University can identify with, even if they didn't spend countless hours skating at Cecil B. Moore.
Boathouse, a made in USA outerwear brand situated minutes away from the Temple campus, was the perfect choice to partner with standard Issue to tell this story. Founded in 1976, Boathouse has provided Temple University with team apparel and licensed merchandise for many years now.
