Vans and The North Face, two brands who champion innovation and adventure, have joined forces to create The North Face x Vans Holiday 2017 collection that fuses each brand's quality of design to create functional cold weather offerings. Along with new takes on the classic Torrey Jacket and Base Camp Duffle, the collection features versions of the Old Skool MTE DX and Sk8-Hi MTE DX.

The North Face x Vans Old Skool MTE DX and The North Face x Vans Sk8-Hi 46 MTE DX  revamp the classic California skate shoes with additions designed for the elements. The uppers have both been constructed from weather-resistant, heavy duty suede and nylon, with warm linings and a heat retention layer between the sockliner and outsole t o kkep feet warm and dry. Details like custom eyelets, rope laces and a newly constructed vulcanized gum rubber checkerboard lug sole add to the rugged vibe of the collaboration. The North Face logo appears on the heel counter to go along with the standard Vans Off The Wall logos on the tongue and heel to complete the look.
