An iconic Philadelphia landmark, an historic Philadelphia sporting event, and two Philadelphia visionaries living in Los Angeles - put them all together and you've got the Divine x JSP collection. Jimmy Gorecki and Najeeb Sheikh are teaming back up for the first time since 2014 for a trio of sweatsuits that drop on Thursday, March 17th, inspired by the history, legacy and competitive fire that is ingrained in the DNA of Philadelphia.
Although Sheikh and Gorecki now call L.A. home, their hearts still reside in the 215. Look no further than their new collaboration, which combines Shiekh's Divine label, inspired by the historic landmark Divine Lorraine Hotel, and the winged foot graphic that represents both the Penn Relays, the oldest and largest collegiate and high school track competition in the U.S. which takes place at Franklin Field in West Philly, and the friendly neighborhood street race.
The Divine x JSP collection features three colors of 100% cotton Standard Issue hoodie and sweatpant sets printed with a custom collaborative graphic designed by Najeeb Sheikh. The hoody features an arched Divine logo over top of a winged foot that itself is soaring over a JSP logo printed on the chest. The sweatpants feature the same graphic printed on the left hip. The sets come in "Cream/Green", which is available exclusively at Lapstone & Hammer; "Cream/Maroon", which is available exclusively at Standard Issue Tees; and "Concrete", which will be available at both shops.

"Growing up where we did, every kid that was quick had aspirations of running at Franklin Field in the Penn Relays. Oldest, and largest high school, and collegiate track competition in the US. However, the unofficial neighborhood foot race gotta go back way further than any organized sporting event. Endless debates, and heated arguments for generations settled in the street with out front of the crib with one person probably jumping early but still making it appear to the rest of the block she, or he dusted their counter parts. No medals. No trophies. No podium. Just the whole block knowing you’re faster than such and such. Don’t front, you been smoked one time or another. We all have. That’s the definition of the graphics so beautifully drawn out by @dasheikee on these @standardissuetees sweatsuits for our first @jsp collaboration together since the original ripstop panel sweats back in 2014."
