On Saturday, October 15th, Lapstone & Hammer will celebrate our first year in existence with a lavish party at our shop that will feature the release of the latest in our series of award-winning collaborations: The Lapstone & Hammer x Gentry + Rose Denim Collection. These two emerging forces in the Philadelphia menswear scene have joined forces to create an exciting new collection with eight different styles of jeans made from premium Japanese and American raw denim, and handcrafted in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. With six styles in a Modern Slim Tapered fit that has more of a tailored feel, and two styles in a Classic Slim Straight which is a slightly slimmer fit than a classic straight leg, there is something here to please every denim lover.
Gentry + Rose is a relatively new name in menswear, founded by Aaron Pierce, that specializes in custom, made-to-order denim in extremely limited runs. All of their products are handcrafted in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, but six of the eight styles began their journey in Japan. Rolls of deadstock raw denim made on vintage American shuttle looms were imported from the land of the rising sun, while the distinctive Kenzo Blue raw denim was sourced right here in Philadelphia. Check out this new collection, along with other special releases and surprises this Saturday night.
