Teddy Santis, ALD founder and New Balance's Made in USA Creative Director, applies his trademark clean and classic upscale design sensibility to another 990 model on the 990V3 "Scarlet". Continuing the 40th anniversary celebration of the 990V1, Santis has outfitted 2012's V3 model in a deep red suede and burgundy mesh upper accented with grey suede tones on the tongue, toebox, heel tab and collar. A silver reflective 'N' logo on the side, red branding on the tongue and heel, a synthetic suede sockliner, grey TPU heel counter and white laces fill in the details, while a white and grey ENCAP midsole and black rubber outsole complete the design.
