Then Air Force 1 is far and away Nike's most popular model of all time, but it was almost discontinued shortly after its debut, a little known story told by the new Air Force 1 Low Retro "Color of the Month". In 1984 the Air Force 1 was on the verge of extinction when a small group of stores from Baltimore, which were selling out of the style regularly, convinced Nike to make custom colorways for their individual stores. The colorways caught fire up and down the east coast and saved the silhouette. This month's colorway features an orange premium full-grain leather upper built to the OG specs with a milky white jewel swoosh, tonal "Nike Air" tongue tag, and embroidered OG logo on the heel. The shoe sits on a white midsole with an orange rubber outsole, and comes with a toothbrush with "Since 1982." printed on it to keep 'em clean and fresh.
